So sad to hear of Roy’s passing. He was a good friend to Don and I, indeed he introduced us to each other! What a blast we all had living our young lives to the fullest and beyond at times! I only wish he could have been more at peace with the young man we all knew. I wish you happy memories as you remember your good times with this hard living man!

From: Geraldine Siemens
Relation: old school buddy

My deepest sympathy to Roy’s family, may he rest in peace.

From: Helga Knote
Relation: Union friend

My deepest condolences to Roy’s loved ones. I knew Roy for many years through the BCGEU and remember him as a straight-shooter who was passionate in defending his opinions but also willing to listen to the other side. When we had opportunities to work together I found him to be honest, kind and funny. I know he will be sadly missed.

From: Brian and Gladys (Ritter) Laing
Relation: Friends and classmates from the early 60's

So Sorry Bob and Don, and of course, your sister too. I cannot believe Roy has left us, it is way too soon. I remember him doubling me on his bike when I had to get home to the farm!! And of course, those wonderful stops in the bakery. What a great loss, Roy was such a nice man!

From: Lauretta (Pagurut)Dick
Relation: classmate.

So sorry to hear of Roy’s passing..my thoughts are with you all

I worked with Roy for the Department of Highways in the early 70’s. He was a good friend to whom I knew I could always turn. I loved him and I will miss him. See you when I get there, buddy. Love Nancy
