June 22, 1935 – November 11, 2011
Lorna Ila Janet (Brennan) Goetz passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Cranbrook Hospital. Mom was a very passionate and energetic lady who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was also an avid bridge player, a seasoned traveler and a dedicated teacher who had a positive impact on the lives of many students, colleagues, friends and family.
Mom is survived by her husband Earney(of Kimberley, BC, daughter Jennifer and her husband Steve of Metcalfe, ON, son Brian of Kimberley, BC and son Stephen and his wife Chalsi of North Vancouver, BC. Mom also leaves behind five amazing grandchildren Christopher, Lauren, Bradley, Ryan and Stephanie. Mom was predeceased by her father, mother and sister.
The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at the Cranbrook Hospital for their exceptional care and support of our mother.
Mom has requested that no funeral service be held but there will be a gathering of family and friends at a future date to be determined.
Our mother”s passing has left a large gap in our family and we will miss her very much.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kimberley Society for Community Living (formerly the Handicapped Society) PO Box 26, Kimberley BC V1A 2Y7.
