Tribute

Surrounded by the love and support of his family, Wesley left us to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Wesley leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years Charlotte and nine children; Thelma (Terry) Larson, Clarence Bishop, Vivian Bishop, Donny Bishop, Walter (Jill) Bishop, Ralph (Sheilla) Bishop, Marie (Scotty) Sobey, June Bishop and Robert (Kim) Bishop as well as 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wesley was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Born on June 4, 1929 in Edam, Saskatchewan, Wesley was raised on the farm in Mervin. On January 23, 1957 he met and married the love of his life, Charlotte Lamb. Not only did he marry her but also adopted her four children. They made their home in North Battleford. In the years ahead, five more children were added to the family. In 1966, they headed west and made their home in Lone Butte and Watch Lake Road. he worked as a log loader operator at the sawmill until it closed in 1983. From 1983 to 1986 he and Charlotte lived in various locations but finally made Cranbrook their home in 1987. Here he worked in the bush putting up fence posts and as a loader operator. From 2000 to 2010, he collected the shopping carts for various stores in town.

A Service of Remembrance for Wesley will be held at Mark Memorial Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2 pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com
