Waneta was well known for telling it like it is so it is in that spirit that we sadly announce that she was unexpectedly taken from her family and friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sons; Charlie (Janet), William and Grant (Michelle). Also left are her grandchildren; Alexis, Jessica, Hamilton, Dillon, Sam and Emmalee.
At Waneta’s request, there will be no funeral service. Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com.

I was so sorry to hear of Waneta unexpected passing she was a close friend she was a kind person but never held back when there was something to say rest in peace my friend

Relation: My Dad's wife from about 2000.
Waneta was married to my dad, Duane Hock. They came out to Oregon a couple times to visit us and we got to visit them in Keosauqua a couple times so I got to meet her dogs too. She was quite the reader and had such a wide scope of life experiences and opinions. I was shocked and saddened to her of her tragic death. No one deserves that and her sons and grands certainly did not. I am so sorry for your untimely loss.
