Trudy Anne Hill
Date of Death: April 6, 2025
Tribute
Trudy Anne Coll was born to Bill and Eleanor Coll in Blairmore, Alberta. She was the fifth of seven children— the younger sister of Ernie, Clifford, Paulette, and Ruth, and the older sister of Noreen and Bonnie.
When Trudy was young, the family moved to Galloway, British Columbia. She attended school in Jaffray and was a voracious reader. Trudy had an adventurous, outdoor upbringing and often shared stories of skating on Galloway’s outdoor rink in the winter, then ducking into a utility shed with a wood stove to warm up.
Trudy left school at the age of 16 and was married to her first husband, Dean Anderson, from 1972 to 1979. Their son, Jeff, was born in 1975. From 1980 to 1996, she was married to Brad Turner, and their daughter, Jennifer, was born in 1981. Trudy married Randy on April 8, 1997, and they shared a deep and loving partnership.
Trudy worked in the fast-paced environment of commercial kitchens and was an excellent cook. Over the years, she also held roles in dispatching, accounting, and coordinating.
Despite living with chronic pain and other health issues, Trudy focused on loving others with warm hugs and a radiant smile.
Trudy had a close relationship with Jesus throughout her life. She and Randy shared that same faith in Christ, attending church in Grand Forks and later at Abundant Life Pentecostal Assembly. Trudy sang on the worship team, served on the church board, helped with decorating, and pitched in wherever she was needed. She loved God’s Word, the Bible, and was a dedicated prayer warrior. God’s presence in her life gave her strength and courage through many difficult seasons and health challenges.
In January 2024, Trudy was diagnosed with cancer. It was a difficult journey for both her and Randy, but she never stopped trusting in God. She believed that healing would come—whether in this life or in the joyful presence of God in eternity.
On April 6, 2025, Trudy passed from this life into the loving presence of God, where she is now healed and whole forever.
