Tribute
It is with heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Thomas Kuhne, born October 15, 1963, in High Prairie, Alberta, who left us on September 24, 2025, at Kootenay Street Village in Cranbrook, BC.
Tom, affectionately known as Tommy by many, spent cherished years in Kimberley, BC, where his love for hunting and fishing brought him great joy. His warm spirit and passion for the outdoors touched all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Kuhne and Sheila Jarina. Tom is survived by his brother Herman Kuhne, sister Helen (Pat) Perry of Cranbrook, BC, and his beloved neice and nephews; Cody (Kelly) Paradis, Tyler (Jenna) Kuhne, Megan (Gord) Frew, Dusty (Taryn) Kuhne, and Travis (Martina) Perry.
Tom’s heart was filled with pride for his great nephews, Connor and Bennett (Frew), whom he cheered on their hockey games, and for Brenton (Perry) and Nathan (Paradis), whom he loved spoiling with silly toys and good humor.
In accordance with Tom’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, let us remember him in the moments of joy—whether watching a Vancouver Canucks game or sharing a memorable fish story.
He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Tom was a special guy that always went out of his way to bring smiles to the seniors at the home. He was generous and kind and I enjoyed talking hockey with him, even though he dissed Conner McDavid! He will be missed dearly by the staff and residents. RIP Tom ❤️
