Sheila Del Vinge (Parsons)

October 11, 1939 - April 13, 2022

Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Vinge, born on October 11, 1939, announces her passing on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.  Sheila is survived by her husband Joel, daughter Karin and a host of loving cousins, nephews and nieces and good friends.

Sheila was happily married for 58 years to Joel and they raised two wonderful daughters Karin and Karla (Karla sadly predeceased her mother in 2015).  Sheila had a busy life full of happiness, love and laughter.  Throughout her life her main focus was the love and care for her family and she was also actively involved in her community, always as a good neighbour.  Several years ago her life was impacted with a cruel dementia which robbed her of much of her joy and her purpose in life.  Her spirit always remained gentle and loving.  She is now at peace, but is enormously missed by Joel & Karin and all who knew her.  We love you and will always miss you Sheila dear!

A Worship Service embracing family and friends will be held at Christ Church Anglican on May 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm with The Reverend Kevin Arndt officiating, assisted by The Reverend Yme Woensdregt.  Please consider donating to the BC SPCA to honor Sheila’s memory and her love of animals.

Condolences to Joel and family, wishing you peace and comfort at this time. I enjoyed the time that I worked with Sheila at the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Store. We missed her when she was no longer able to continue volunteering with us.

From: Daryle and Sharon Odden
Relation: Sheila was the wife of my cousin Joel.

Our condolences to you Joel and Karin. We have fond memories of when you spent time with us getting to know Sheila and the time we spent with you when we helped you celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary. Sheila was a very kind and caring lady and will be missed by so many.
