Ruby Alice Taylor
June 4, 1928 – June 22, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruby Alice Taylor on June 22, 2026, at the age of 98. Ruby passed away peacefully at The Pines Special Care Home in Kimberley, British Columbia, where she had resided for the past six years. Her family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care, kindness, and support provided by the staff throughout her time there.

Ruby was born on June 4, 1928, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She also enjoyed a successful career as an insurance broker, bringing the same professionalism, integrity, and compassion to all she did.

Ruby was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fred Taylor, in 2009; her son, Ronald James Taylor, in 2015; her parents, John and Nettie Familenow; her brothers, Victor and Jack; and her sisters, Verna and Emily.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Frederick John Taylor (Lynn); her five grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and many friends who will cherish the memories they shared with her throughout her long and meaningful life.

In keeping with her wishes, Ruby will be interred alongside her husband in Saskatchewan at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Pines Special Care Home in Kimberley, BC, in appreciation of the exceptional care and compassion shown to Ruby during her final years.
