In the early morning hours of Monday, March 12, 2012, ROGER GEORGE CHORLEY passed from this life at the age of 69 years. He was born on November 29, 1942 in Medicine Hat, Alberta and as a young child moved to Cranbrook with his family.
Roger always enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time fishing and hunting. His family was first and foremost in his life and he loved them all dearly – especially his grandchildren. Roger truly was a fighter and had a very strong will to live. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife Sharon and their four children: Wendy (Wally) Thouret, Tom Chorley, Shelley (Barry) Dorscher and Tracey (Earl) Pocha. Roger also leaves behind four grandchildren; Sheldon (Kristie), Amanda (Thad), Brittney (Tyler) and Brendon as well as two great grandchildren: Kieth and Jordyn. He leaves two brothers: Don (Beryl) Chorley in Creston and Jack (Laurie) Kershaw of Cranbrook as well as several nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his parents and one brother Jim.
A Celebration of Roger”s life will be held at a later date. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Roger”s memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200 – 4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 2K6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Cranbrook Unit, #101, 105 – 9th Ave. S., Cranbrook, BC V1C 2M1.
