The family of Rita Bertha Holmes (nee Sicotte) announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the age of 87 years.
Rita was born on February 28, 1924 in Dollard, Saskatchewan and was raised in Kimberley and Harrop, BC. She married Thomas Holmes on August 23, 1947 and their union was blessed with two daughters, Elaine and Marlene.
Rita leaves to mourn her passing her two daughters Elaine Phaneuf and Marlene (Lorni) Sammartino as well as eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Tom, her parents and three brothers and one sister.
A private family service has been held. If friends desire, condolences may be left for the family at www.markmenorial.com.

We were so sorry to hear about Aunt Rita. The few times we got together with her and Uncle Tom, she was always so happy and so much fun. We have some great memories. Our deepest sympathy to all the family.
