Tribute
On the afternoon of Saturday, December 17, 2011 PATRICIA SMITH passed away peacefully at the Kimberley Special Care Home at the age of 85 years. She was born on November 16, 1926 to David and Katherine Smart in Calgary, Alberta.
Patricia loved her family so very much. She was greatly supportive of all of their endeavours and always wanted what was best for them. She took great pleasure in playing cards and truly loved the trips she would take with her children to various destinations. All her grandchildren were very special to her.
Patricia leaves to mourn her passing four children; her son John (Goretti) and daughters; Leanne (John) Bos, Donna (Bob) Pringle and Lorraine (Mark) Blayney, her grandchildren; Chris, Jeff, Kathryn, Shauna, Heather and Trevor as well as 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her husband George (Ted) Smith in 1981; her parents; David and Katherine Smart; one brother John and three sisters; Margaret, Helen and Kathleen.
A private family gathering to celebrate Patricia”s life will be held at a later date. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Kimberley Special Care Home, 386 – 2nd Avenue, Kimberley, BC V1A 0S5 or to a charity of one”s choice. We are sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, Lorraine – we know she is in a better place now. I saw her at the beginning of December in the hall at the Pines in her wheelchair and she seemed well at that time. God bless you and keep you in your time of mourning.
