Mildred ("Millie") Sylvia Cox (Schmidt)

Mildred Sylvia Cox passed away in Cranbrook on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 82 years. She was born in Vernon, BC on July 18, 1938.
Millie met Bob Cox at a very young age and they made their life together here in Cranbrook. They were blessed with four children – two sons and two daughters. She was a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed.
Millie leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband, Bob and her children Bill (Solange), Roseann and Deannie. Unfortunately, her son Bill passed away on November 24th from his battle with cancer. Millie also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Joe at the young age of 35 years and now Bill at the age of 62 as well as one grandson. Millie also leaves behind several siblings.
At Millie’s request, there will be no funeral service held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Millie’s memory can be made to the BC Cancer Society, #150 – 686 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1G1

I will always remember Millie from when I first moved to Cranbrook. I painted with her and her friends at the Paint Pocket. We became good friends, so sorry to hear of her passing.
