Marjorie Deborah "Debbie" Shypitka (Graham)
September 20, 1949 - May 22, 2017
Tribute
Debbie passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Smiths Falls, Ontario and was one of nine children born to Barbara and Archibald Graham.
Debbie was the beloved wife of Larry whom she met in Ottawa, Ontario in 1968, married in 1969 and eventually settled in Cranbrook where they spent 48 years together. They raised three children who survive her: Rob (Ramona), John (Rhonda) and Angye (Travis) along with eight grandchildren. Also surviving her are one sister and four brothers in Eastern Ontario and three brothers- in- law, Mel, Gord and Mike in BC. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, one sister, two brothers, father- in- law and one brother in law.
To those that knew her, she will be fondly remembered as a very caring and family oriented person. We will all cherish the memory that Family meant the most to her.
Debbie has been cremated and requested that there be no funeral service. The family will gather at a later date to hold a private celebration of her life. Those wishing to remember her may do so by making a donation to the charity or foundation of choice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com.

Debbie was my closest friend, my ‘chosen family’ sister and now that she has been called home, there will be a hole in our day-to-day lives but our hearts will be richer for having known & loved her. Larry & family, you will be in our daily prayers and we are here if you need anything.

Larry,
As your neighbour for many years, I remember seeing Debbie run out of the house in her bathrobe and jump in the car early in the morning to drive one of the boys to hockey practice. She was a good mom and a good neighbour.
