Marion Winifred Bakewell

Tribute
After a courageous fight with cancer, Marion passed away September 14, 2011. She leaves to mourn Cheryl (Tom) Cherry, their children, Leanne, Cathlene, Alex (Meagan)and Mark of Nelson; Greg (Kim) Champness, their children, Kyle, Walter and great grandson Kayden of Cranbrook; Dean (Gretta) Bakewell and their children Graeme, Everett and Vanessa of Salmon Arm and Rob Bakewell of Calgary. Her brother Stan and his wife Marion, sister Sharon and husband Norm and many nieces and nephews and Aunt Rose and other family members. Marion was predeceased by her brother Norm and her parents. During her life she enjoyed curling, golfing , skiing, bowling, playing cards with her friends and volunteered at the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store and the Royal Canadian Legion. The family would like to thank all her close friends for all their support during her illness. We would like to thank Cranbrook Home Support, Oncology Dept., and all the nursing staff of the third floor of the Cranbrook Hospital for the fantastic care they gave mom. We also want to thank mom”s neighbour Grant for all his help. Join the family for a small get together to celebrate Marion”s life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, 803 Cranbrook St. N., noone to 2 pm Friday, September 23, 2011.

Marion was a kind and caring person. I will miss talking and laughing with her. I feel lucky that i got to know her and I will miss her with all my heart.I am so sorry for her familys loss.
