Tribute
CRANE, Lucille
1922-2011
On Tuesday , March 23, 2011 our dear mother , grandmother, great grandmother & great great grandmother passed away at the age of 88 years. Lucille was born on September 6 1922 in Retlaw, Alberta to Golden Minerva & Harry Bailey.
Lucille has always been known for the tremendous love she had for her family and all her love and pride for her grandchildren. She looked forward to spring to plant her flowers that she enjoyed so much each summer. Mom loved to bake and we all enjoyed so many of her delicious baked goods. Next to her family came her love and affection for her beloved dog Buddy. He was her greatest companion right up to his last days. She had a deep appreciation for animals and one way she demonstrated this adoration was by feeding the ducks and pigeons that came right to her yard for treats.
Lucille will be forever remembered and missed by her five children; Carol (Lloyd) Shibley, Tim (Audrey), Linda (Don) Tooze, Bob (Shelley) and Holly (Paul) Lemieux as well as 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Lucille will forever be remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Lucille was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Everett, granddaughter Sandy and grandson Bill. Lucille was the oldest and surviving member of her family of two brothers and four sisters.
A celebration of Lucille”s life will be held at a later date. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, Box 2 Hwy 3/95, Cranbrook, BC V1A 4H6
