It is with deep sorrow that the family of Joseph Marcell Jacques announce his passing on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Cranbrook, BC at the age of 65 years.
Joe was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on July 26, 1946. His parents moved to the West Kootenays where he lived and worked before moving to Cranbrook in 1972. Joe was a faller in the Forestry Industry for many years. In recent years, he enjoyed travelling in the States with his partner where they enjoyed many adventures together. He also enjoyed having coffee with his buddies at the Dairy Queen and his pride and joy was the endless work he did on his vehicles.
Joe is survived by his partner of 13 years, Monique; his family Joseph Jacques, Renee Jacques and Jason Jacques; his grandchildren; Keaton, Bailee and Colton; his step daughters Stacey (Charles) and Angela (Tyler) as well as his step grandchildren; Mitchel, Cole, Paiten and Bethany. He also leaves his brother Louis (Anne) Jacques; sisters Maggie Jacques, Marjorie (Bruce) Knippelberg and Bonnie (Bill) Koiter. His nephews; Steven Crook, Jordan Knippelberg and Tim Hamilton; his nieces Christine Knippelberg, Amber Jacques and Jenny Gyuricza. Joe was predeceased by his parents; Mable and Joseph Jacques and a sister Yvonne Eileen Gyuricza.
