It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph “Joe” Bruce of Cranbrook, BC.
formerly of Stephenville, Newfoundland. Joseph was born on April 13, 1949, in Stephenville and
died on August 18, 2026, at the age of 77. He is survived by five daughters: Kari-Ann (Terry)
Butler, Cosette Kehoe, Angie Bruce, Sherri Bruce, and Denika Payne; and one son, Jason
Bruce. He is also survived by his brothers Jack (Sadie) Bruce and Felix (Mary) Bruce, as well as
many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Bertha Bruce of Stephenville, and his
three sisters: Ida Sell, Bridget Clay, and Monica Butler, and most recently, his brother Michael
Bruce.
The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the nursing staff at Joseph Creek
Care Village in Cranbrook, BC, where Dad lived out his remaining seven years of life. A private
celebration and interment will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted
to Mark Memorial Funeral Home.
