Thanks to my and Jay’s parent’s friendship, I became a lifelong family friend of “Alphie’s”. I was most familiar with him during my childhood and adolescent years in Kimberley. We shared common sport interests including hockey and baseball but in particular, a love of the great outdoors. I most fondly remember his fishing prowess especially at Whiteswan Lake where certain flies he tied produced excellent results. I’ll miss our conversations about family, friends and fishing. May you rest easy, Alphie.
