Inez Hazel Wilkinson (Renick)

Tribute
Our amazing and beloved mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and dear friend of many passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, 28 May at Cranbrook Hospital. At 93, Inez lived independently and was a source of strength and loved by all. She truly was the “sweetheart” of Collette Manor
Inez was the third daughter of George and Pearl Renick, growing up in Wardner, BC, where she met her husband Roy; they were married for 66 years. They resided in Galloway, Wardner and St. Mary’s Lake prior to building their home in Marysville where they lived for 60 years until moving to Kimberley in 2004.
Inez loved to garden and their immaculate large property was testimony to that. She loved nature, birds and flowers and God’s creation. She was a great reader, a keen learner and continued to enjoy geography and mapping travels of friends and family. In addition to working outside the home, she volunteered endless hours for the Hospital Auxiliary and the Marysville Library and organized whist fundraisers in her home. She was truly a beautiful soul who loved family and was always there to support those in need.
Inez was predeceased by her husband Roy in 2006, her parents, George and Pearl Renick, grandson Scott Wilkinson and sisters Georgie Vesper, Lauretta Mio, Marie Atwood, Evelyn Simmons and brother John Renick. She is survived by her loving children, George (Karen) Wilkinson and Arta Adams, grandchildren Tandi Wilkinson (Martin), Dean (Carla) Adams and Mark (Jackie) Adams, 11 great grandchildren, sisters Mae (Jack) Penney and Judy Renick and brother Jim (Eileen) Renick.
Words are unable to express our great sadness and loss. Cremation will precede a private family graveside burial with a Celebration of Life at Collette Manor, 105 Knighton Road, Kimberley, first floor common room, Saturday, 7 June 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for family and close friends. Those wishing may make donation in her name to the Kimberley Health Care Auxiliary Memorial Fund, Box 34, Kimberley, BC V1A 2Y5
