My condolences to brother Felix, sister Olive, and nephew David. Herman was a very honest and intelligent man, With stories to keep you entertained for hours. If you ever went to see Herman at his home, there was always a cup of tea and cookies waitting for you.He was honest and only wanted the truth- if not he would call you out on it.I’ll miss his red Ford Ranger pulling up to visit Felix every Monday
I won’t say good-bye but until I see you again. Put the kettle on Herman. Love Deann

Going to miss you Herman…

Yes we will miss uncle Herman so much and his memory will live on with us for ever.
He was the best of best to me and the whole family, always being there to give his help.
As a logger and bushman his whole working life, he was one of the hardest working men I had ever known , whether it was helping Mom on her farming or Dad with his saw milling or just doing his house or yard work he did not stop til the job got done.
Herman never complained about anything concerning himself but was always available to help others.
Herman had a lot of colorful opinions on politics and the state of the national economy and I will always remember the strong debates that were sure to take place at breakfast or dinner over the years. As Uncle Herman was extremely well read and he had a memory like a steel trap right up to his last days.
I have not only lost an uncle, but I have lost one of the best friends I have ever had, a great life long friend to both of us.
I could always talk to Herman about anything, and when he answered you, he would look you start in the eyes with an answer and you knew was coming from his heart.

We would also like to say just how grateful we are to Henry and Geri Siemens for all the help and kindness they where able to extend to Herman in his later years and days.
I will miss Herman everyday .

I am really sad about the news that you have left us so suddenly. I am going to miss you so much, I love you. I am saddened by the fact that I cannot even cross the border right now due to the virus in order to send you away properly. So for now this has to do. 💕
