Tribute
With heavy hearts, the family of Gerry Clark announce his passing on October 8, 2021. Gerry was born in Rossland, BC on September 25, 1929. While growing up on the family farm in Winlaw, BC he developed a thirst for sports and flying. He became a student pilot in 1949, qualifying as a commercial pilot in 1959. Gerry enjoyed his brakeman/conductor work at CP Rail from 1952 to 1986 when he retired. He told railway stories with passion. He was an avid skier, photographer and enjoyed building and testing model planes. With wife, Evelyn, he enjoyed many outings in his 1963 Volkswagen Beetle.
Gerry leaves behind his brother Glenn Clark of Nelson, BC (step-sons Glen and Wayne Munday), his sister Evangeline Pond of West Lynn, Oregon (daughters Terry Siegle and Valerie Robinson, sons Burton and Quin Pond). Gerry’s step daughters; Patricia Newell, Marlene Law (Alan), Shirley Donaldson (Len), Susan Crequer (Perry), Gail Gelowitz (Harry) and Doris Parsons (Craig) as well as best friend Ted Mannings. Predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn Brykaliuk, his parents Clover and Henry Clark, his brother-in-law Wally Pond and sister-in-law Oma Clark.
By request, there will be no funeral service. In honor of Gerry’s memory a donation can be made to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, 13 – 24th Ave. N., Cranbrook, BC V1C 3H9 (250)426-5281
