Tribute

Frank was born on February 19, 1920 in Ootsa Lake, BC where he lived until attending the UBC where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and met his wife Kathryn. They married in 1944 and were virtually inseparable for the next 67 years as they loved, laughed and lived their lives to the fullest.

Frank was always looking for new challenges and he took every chance to pursue new opportunties which resulted in many moves around BC with his growing family. He became an avid skier and enjoyed fishing, golfing and water skiing. After retiring, his thirst for new adventures continued and Frank and Kathryn travelled throughout the US, Mexico and Europe.

He enjoyed music and loved to dance. In the past, he could be found dancing in the strangest places from dirt floored cantinas in Mexico to sailboats in the Caribbean. In recent years, it was not uncommon for him to be seen dancing with his wife and more recently with nurses, aides or anyone else that was willing. His good humour was infectious and even after 91 years, he had a mischievious twinkle in his eyes and smile for everyone he met.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Mohr; 3 daughters; Virgina West, Kathryn Shannon, Beth Baechler, 2 sons; Glenn Mohr, Ron Mohr; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and predeceased by his parents, 8 siblings and his grandson D”Arcy McRae.

Frank”s family would like to thank the Care Aides and all the staff at Joseph Creek Care Village. Their actions and kindness went far beyond their roles as caregivers. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer”s Society.
