It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn Margaret Simon (Miller) on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Cranbrook at the age of 75 years, after a short bout with cancer.
Evelyn was born September 24, 1935 in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan. Evelyn was a devoted wife and family ties were a very large part of her life, remembering birthdays and anniversaries.
She loved the outdoors, classic country music and dancing. She was an active rodeo fan, personally participating in many events.
She is survived by her loving husband Merle, his two sons Randy and Rod; two brothers Allan (Marni) and Fred (Char) Miller; 3 sisters, Joan Unruh, Jean (Ernie) Funk and Gloria (Lou) Rogers; 3 grandchildren, Justin, Jessica and Matt Simon and 2 great grandchildren. Many more relatives, including nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Mark Memorial Funeral Home, 2024 Industrial Road No. 2, Cranbrook, BC.
