Edythe Marjorie Wilson

July 2, 1918 - June 22, 2012

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edythe Marjorie Wilson on June 22, 2012 at the age of 93.

Edythe was born in Conquest, Saskatchewan on July 2, 1918. She moved to Rossland, BC in 1938, then on to Kimberley in 1951. She is survived by her daughter Patt Cromer of Kimberley, grandson Ray (Brenda)Cromer of Calgary, granddaughter Jan Cromer Thaxton of Wilmington, N.C., five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and her very special friend of 58 years, Helen Young. Edythe was predeceased by her husband, George in 1991.

Special thanks to Dr. DuPreez and Dr. Janbey, the staff of Gardenview Village, Mary and Kathy of Kimberley Home Nursing and Kimberley Special Care Home for their wonderful care. At Edythe”s request there will be no memorial service, however, there will be an informal open house to visit the family in the Golden Room at Gardenview Village on Wednesday, June 27th between 1 and 3 pm.

If friends desire, donations in Edythe”s honour may be made to the Cranbrook SPCA, 3339 Highway 3 and 95, Cranbrook, BC V1C 7V2. Edythe would love it if she could save an animal”s life.

Dear Patt, We were so sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. She was a wonderful treasure. Shirley and I have such fond memories being with all of you. I always enjoyed seeing your Mom when she was shopping in Cranbrook. We’d catch up on everyone, give each other a hug and carry on our way. She was always the same. It was such a thrill to see the two of you in Fort Steele at the Mother’s Day Tea a few years ago.
