Edward Perry Carriger

Tribute
On the evening of Friday, January 20, 2012, Edward Perry Carriger passed away peacefully at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with his wife by his side. Ed went home to Heaven where he is today with His Saviour and Lord. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 ¾ years, Dorothy Carriger, by two daughters, Nancy Carriger and Alice (Dave) Griffin, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Visitation on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Mark Memorial Funeral Home at 5:00 pm. The Funeral Service and celebration of Ed’s life will be at the Fellowship Baptist Church on Monday January 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Cranbrook, BC. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to SIM Canada, #10 Huntingdale Blvd. Scarborough, ON M1W 2S5 Indicate Project: Niger – #88750 or Ethnos Ministries (Missions to SE Asia) #4-2604 Enterprise Way, Kelowna, BC V1X 7Y5. I was very sorry to hear of Edward’s passing. I work in the Registration office at College of the Rockies and it was a pleasure registering Edward in his courses and talking with him. I will miss seeing him here. Please accept my sincerest sympathy.

Ed had taken a few classes from me and it was always a pleasure to have him in my class. He had so many great stories and so much life experience to share. He will be missed.

Ed and I would enter the building at the same time together many times and we would chat or chat in the hallways. The last time we chatted at length was just the week before when I was at a table for the Faculty Association in the foyer. He was always pleasant to talk to and I’ll miss seeing him at the College.
