Tribute

POLLACK, Doris

1948 – 2011

The family of Doris Pollack announce her passing at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the age of 62 years. Doris was born on September 23, 1948 in Marktredwitz, Germany, the only daughter of Otto and Stefani Pollack.

Doris” passion in life were her horses. She loved all 16 of them!! She and her husband Wayne moved from Meadowbrook to Ta Ta Creek in order to have more room for all their horses. Doris was a very private person but carried on with what she loved to do in her own very quiet way. She truly enjoyed tending to her flower garden and had many wonderful pots of flowers for all to enjoy. She really took pleasure in having visitors stop by for a visit.

Doris leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Wayne Aseltine; one brother Gunther of Bolton, Ontario as well as two nieces and one nephew in Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents; Otto and Steffi Pollack; her brother Klaus, sister-in-law Analise and nephew, Martin.

At Doris” request, there will be no funeral service. If friends wish to remember Doris, memorial donations may be made in her honour to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health, Oncology Department, 13 – 24th Ave. N., Cranbrook, BC V1C 3H9.

Wayne, I am sorry to hear of Doris’s passing. I helped you and her with your paint colours when you moved to Tata; you also kindly helped me out with my smoke detector around the same time. I enjoyed my time with Doris planning her new home. That definitely was a happy time in her life. I’m sure she enjoyed her time out in Tata.

Wayne – definitely will miss her smile and her very contagious love of horses. I am always home if you need an ear or someone to talk to – I have many dear memories of our roping at Dad’s arena. Jaycee and I always enjoyed our visits
