Carl Lindberg Helland

Tribute
Carl Lindberg Helland passed away January 23, 2011 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with is family by his side. Carl was born in Kimberley, October 6, 1931.
He left with loving memory, his wife of 55 years Fern, son Graig (Ladine), daughter Michele, grandsons Jonathan (Stephanie) Brant and great granddaughter Leanna, brother Roal and sister Elenor (Tom) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arnie and Edith.
Carl worked at the Sullivan Mine and was involved with mine rescue and first aid. He was on winning mine rescue teams for Provincial and Dominion in the 1960”s. He loved the outdoors as an avid skier, golfer and fisherman. Carl was also involved with hockey as a trainer with the Kimberley Knights, and a volunteer for the Fire Department and Ambulance Service.
Friends and family will miss him dearly but he will forever live in our hearts.
There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at the Elks Hall on Saturday, January 29th, 2011 from 1-4 pm.
