In the early morning hours of Monday, November 11, 2013, Brenda Caroline Adshade passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital at the age of 73 years. Brenda was born on March 10, 1940 in Springhill, Nova Scotia to Charles and Gwendolyn Ford.
Left to mourn her passing are her beloved husband, Arnold and her son Larry (Marilyn) MacKinnon. She also leaves her grandchildren; Tracey MacKinnon, Shelley (Brett) Forsberg and Tiffany (Brent) Rybachuk as well as four great grandsons; Mattias, Grey, Owen and Dane and one granddaughter, Sloan. Brenda is also survived by three brothers, Ronald, Murray and Merlin. She was predeceased by her grandson, Troy and her three sisters; Joyce, Joan and Eleanor.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Mark Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Brenda's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013 BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3 or to the Alzheimer Society of BC, 300 – 828 West 8th Ave., Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E2. i have many,many memories of Aunt Brenda especially during my younger years.always thought there was nothing like her.,with her wit and great sense of humor. whenever we came home from out west always wanted to stay with her when dad and mom were getting the house ready to live in.many Sun. drives to Five Islands taking Brenda and Larry over to see his grandparents.she will always hold a special place in my heart. thinking of you all during this difficult time.may many great memories get you through
