Albert William Uridge

October 23, 1957 - November 15, 2023

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert William Uridge, on November 15th, 2023 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, after a short battle with cancer that he fought until the end and never gave up hope.

Albert was born October 23rd, 1957, raised in the Vancouver area and later moved to Kimberley, BC in the mid 80’s to help his dad run the Sullivan Pub.

In recent years Albert and Connie together, truly enjoyed their RV adventures from Alaska to the tip of Florida, logging over 60,000 km of driving. Albert was always game to explore a new adventure or strange attractions along the many cities and states they passed through, which was always followed up by “fun facts” messages back to family sharing their experiences.

Albert loved vacationing in Belize over the coldest months of winter, where he had many good friends, which he considered his extended family.

Camping and fishing was Albert’s passion, whether it be at local lakes, RV travels or the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Belize.

Albert will be deeply missed by his loving partner in life Connie, his mother Doreen, his brother Mike (Barb), his sister Heidi (Rob), his stepchildren: Tyson (Dusty) grandchildren Roberta, Jasper, Charlotte, Beckham & Slate. Ginnesa (Kevin), grandchildren Kyla (Nathan), Spencer & Olivia. He also leaves behind many friends who were like family to him. Everyone loved Albert and will cherish the memories they have of him.

Albert was predeceased by his father, Albert (Sr), and Uncle Jimmy whom he was fond of.

No memorial service will be held by Albert’s request. In leu of flowers, Albert asked that any donations be made to your charity of choice in his memory.

A special Thank You to Dr Shaun Van Zyl, the nurses, especially Amanda on the 3rd floor of the EKRH & Mark Memorial, for all their care and compassion.
